1989 - 1995 Sports Science leading to a degree as graduate sports instructor
1995 - 2002: Saarland University leading to a Degree in Human Medicine

Dissertation published in Sportorthopädie – Sports traumatology. The research involved lactate, heart rate and catecholamines after 10 km endurance runs on a 400 meter track with different intensity specifications based on the percentage share thresholds for the individual anaerobes. This experimental study used 24 test persons and was supervised by Wilfried Kindermann, Professor, Doctor of Medicine and Doctor Bernd Coen who are members of the faculty from the Institute of Sports and Preventive Medicine, Saarbrucken.

2002 - 2003: Junior doctor in the Department of General and Visceral Surgery reporting to Janus Patas, Doctor of Medicine, Marien Krankenhaus (Hospital) Trier-Ehrang.

2004 - 2009: Training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery. orthopaedic clinic with Doctors in Medicine; Bernhard Schmitz, Jochen Vogel, Renate Stollbrink, Sebastian Fürderer in the in-patient ward of Mutterhaus der Borromäerinnen, Trier.

Training in the Department of Trauma Surgery under the management of Doctor Andreas Margies, Kreiskrankenhaus Saarburg, and the Department of Visceral and Trauma Surgery under the management of Doctor Alfred Kuckartz, Krankenhaus Maria Hilf Daun.

Training in the Orthopaedic Department under Professor Thomas Hopf, Doctor of Medicine, Krankenhaus der Barmherzigen Brüder, Trier.

2005: In the position of Doctor of Sports Science, German Sport University Cologne did research leading to a dissertation: Phonoarthrography for Detecting Noise Phenomena in the Knee Joint as a Method for early Detection of Pathological Changes. Experimental study directed by Professor Hans-Jörg Appell, Doctor of Medicine, and Professor Wolfgang Menke, Doctor of Medicine.

2009: Training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery.

2009 - 2013: Senior physician in the Orthopaedic Department of Meduna Klinik, a clinic specialising in orthopaedics and internal medicine, convalescence and rehabilitation. Head of the Sports Medicine Department.

2011: Started a private medical strengthening therapy practice, Herzogenbuscherstr. 52, D-54292 Trier. January 2014: Started private practice: Orthopaedic Doctor, 36, Rangwee, L-2412 Luxembourg.

Competitive sports

Sporting career: 1987 - 2000 + 2011 - present date: National federation athlete in the German Water Ski Federation: Several times world and European champion. Also European cup winner and German champion.

Holder of Silver Laurel Leaf – highest award in Germany for sporting achievements, conferred by the German President.
